The Paper Trail Kit Feature and Giveaway

The Paper Trail is run by one of our former design team members, Karen, and this is how I became acquainted with this kit club.  She sells both kits and individual products on the site as well as running a fun challenge blog.  She even offers the chance to become a guest designer thru her challenge blog.  I got to work with the April kit which was full of goodies from Crate Paper, Prima, and BoBunny.  It had so many embellishments included that even with completing five projects, I didn't even touch some of them.  For an embellishment junkie like me...this was heavenly :)

Their kits are offered as either a one time purchase or a 6 month subscription.  Karen does a stunning job of putting together coordinating kits allowing you to spend less time picking and choosing and more time creating!
Here's the projects I made:

Karen is giving away a kit to one of our lucky readers!
Here's what you can do to get an entry:
-Make sure you are a follower here
-Leave us a comment telling us which of her kits is your favorite (current or past are available here)
-Get an extra entry for becoming a follower of their challenge blog
Deadline for entry is Wednesday, May 4th

Pretty in Pink!

Can you say Pink-a-licious? Today we are all about the color pink. Now, this post comes with a warning: extreme amounts of the color pink below. If pink is not your thing, then maybe this post isn't for you. But just maybe you are looking to be challenged to use up some of that pink paper you have lying around. There is plenty of pink inspiration to get you to use it up. I think this was our new largest turn out for a call. Hopefully, we all don't turn pink like the little girl in the story "Pinkalicious" by Victoria Kann (LOL...ps...you may want to check the book out if you have a little girl who LOVES pink).

Little Girl Projects

Last month we had the little boy inspiration and today we are here and all about the little girls.  We had a ton of great submissions from our designers and readers and here are some of them for you to check out.

Challenge me Tuesday: Eyelets

Good Morning! Like many of you, when I first began scrapbooking I collected many different types of embellishments, including what seems like a ton of little metal do dads called eyelets. I've got round ones, heart shaped, stars, squares, would you believe even little trucks and airplanes? Despite such a large selection at my disposal, I still don't use the little things very often. Then we do a challenge like this, and the results often amaze me. I'm sure after seeing some of these next projects you'll be tempted to dig some out of your stash and play.

Kylie
Kylie loves setting eyelets as a form of stress relief, and by the look of this stunning page, she's one very calm lady these days!

Christine
Christine used Bella Blvd. papers from the Family Dynamix and Mr. Boy lines to create this sweet springlike page, her eyelets anchoring the photo corners.

Erin
I used a variety of eyelets to fill in some of the holes created with my Fiskars Threading Water punch.

Debbie Bakk
Reader Debbie Bakk sent us this beauty, with eyelets studding the circle of transparency, as well as the border strip on the right. Combining old treasures such as eyelets and new one like baker's twine is a sure way to bring new life to them.

Christine

Christine used eyelets on her tags that anchor her title as well as in the corners of her photo mat.

This brings us to this week's challenge item...

Twine!

We want to see your creative uses for this new trendy item, and we'll publish our favorites next week!
send your projects to : practicalscrapperslayouts(at)gmail(dot)com.

When it Rains, it Pours!

It's raining, it's pouring, all of these projects are not boring! When it rains here, it sure does pour and the projects for this call sure came pouring in. Maybe it was the curse in weather we've been having that has inspired so many rainy projects. Whatever the reason for the inspiration we say, "let it rain!"

Bella Blvd Feature & Giveaway Day Two

Today we're featuring projects with the new lines Family Dynamix and Tail Waggers & Cat Naps. Both lines, as the name indicates, have a pretty specific theme...but as you will see today you can work within that theme or you can go in other directions.

Christine & Erin did projects with the Tail Waggers & Cat Naps line.
Erin

Christine used a picture of her son playing in the dog crate for this one.

Christine used a Halloween picture for this layout

Erin, Kerri, & I all worked with the Family Dynamix line.

Kerri turned this into a Disney family layout

Kerri created a pretty card that would work for any occasion

Michelle is one of our regular readers.  I saw this page on her blog and asked her to submit it because it uses the roots paper from the Family Dynamix line.

Again today we have some goodies from both of these lines to give away!
Here's all you have to do to enter:
-Make sure you are a follower here & leave us a comment telling us if you've been able to find Bella Blvd in your local stores or if they are new to you.

You can get an extra chance to win by:
-Becoming a follower of Bella Blvd on Facebook

Bella Blvd Feature & Giveaway Day One

I don't have a local scrapbook store, so whenever we hit up a big city my husband is awesome enough to let me get lost in one. A few months ago I was in one and kept picking up paper from Bella Blvd. Most of what I purchased that day was from them! I decided then that we needed to feature them here on Practical Scrappers and contacted Stephanie, the designer and owner of Bella Blvd. She generously provided us with a huge prize pack that we'll be breaking into two so that we can do a giveaway for two of you! Today is the first giveaway...but first we've got some tremendous projects to share with you!

Christine used products from the new Mr. Boy line. This little boy line has everything from cars to dinosaurs to footballs...it's got great variety to fit a wide group of boy personalities and interests. I sat down with the entire line in front of me on my living room floor and put this together with my 8 month old crawling around me. I only used my trimmer, scissors, and exacto knife and a few little letter stickers outside of the line. I was shocked how quickly and easily it all came together. It's rarely that easy and I credit a greatly designed line for that!

Brenda R also used products from the new Mr. Boy line

Sarah used some of the new Sophisticates line on her layout here

Brenda R used more of the new Mr. Boy line on this layout

Today we are giving away some paper and stickers from the Family Dynamix and Tail Waggers & Cat Naps lines. Here's what you can do to win some:
-Make sure you are a follower here & leave us a comment telling us what your favorite line from Bella Blvd is. You can find their lines on their blog.
And if you want some extra chances to win here's some extra things you can do:
-Become a fan of Bella Blvd over on Facebook and let them know we sent you!
-Post on your blog or your facebook page about our giveaway here.

Make sure to come back tomorrow when we will be featuring projects exclusively from the Family Dynamix & Tail Waggers & Cat Naps lines and of course another giveaway!
