Friday's Button Projects

Amanda used button paper for the background of her page. She also used small, large, and heart shaped buttons as embellishments.

Fern used a couple of buttons on this weeks layout. The first one she used for the center of the top flower, and the other teeny tiny one is in the shape of a heart and she used it for the dot above the "i" in Princess.

Sarah used the biggest buttons she could find in her stash! They are Heidi Grace, and they're clear with etching on the back. The buttons are hand sewn to the layout using floss.
Erika used buttons to anchor her photo. The choice to add buttons was made easy when she had chosen a dotted theme for this layout.

Jessica used buttons of several different sizes as the center of her flowers. She topped the buttons with brads that were popped right through the button holes. For the button holes that were too small to fit the brads through, she used a circular precision file to sand the holes down to size. After the brads were popped through the buttons and through her page, she "burped" them - using her thumb, she pushed down on the center of the brads while the page was lying on a self-healing craft mat in order to get them to lay flat.

Crystal used lots of different buttons on this layout. The ribbon slide on the second ribbon is a button. She used three in each corner for photo corners. She also lined up quite a few to highlight her photo.

Thursday's Button Projects

Erin used buttons along with a few brads to mimic pebbles at the bottom of her page, as well as to change a chipboard shape into a sun.

Caroline loves to use buttons on her layouts, for this one she used them as if the buttons were a wave, to complement the water movement.

Deanne used orange mini buttons to add a border. She also used bright buttons for the bow and flower embellishments. The ice cream cone image from our fabulous sponsor, Creations by Penny, also got a button!

Clare found this one single gorgeous button lying around and was waiting for the perfect project to use it on. Her new October Afternoon papers have been just the right incentive to use the button!

Jennifer accented the tree with fall buttons.

Jennifer used vintage buttons to accent the circles, journaling strips and added as accents along her page.

Wednesday's Button Projects

Kerri used two different types of buttons on her LO. First she used her Martha Stewart Button punch to punch some paper buttons to accent the layering scallops under her photo and she tied them off with some green floss. Then she added some aqua buttons to the the end caps of the pendant flags she created using SCAL. She also tossed on a few at the bottom right to keep your eyes moving and draw attention back to the bottom of the LO.

Amy used buttons to add dimension to the balloon on this birthday card.

Having never used buttons on any of her layouts before, Barb simply used buttons tied with embroidery floss for the centers of her Petaloo paper flowers on this 2 page layout.

Sherri used buttons to add finishing touches to her thank you card. Buttons tied off with embroidery floss were used for flower centers as well.

Jamie used her buttons to pull out the colors of her pattern paper!

Tuesday's Button Projects

Christine used buttons to frame her big T

Wanda used buttons in the corners of her paper. She also added lots of buttons on the tree. The big button with the fiber she used to represent her Mother and Family.
The big button is her Mother and the the fiber is her Family and the button is what holds everything together....because thats what a Mother does.

Tanya decided that if she was going to use buttons, she may as well go BIG. Taking large clear buttons, Tanya glued matching design paper to the bottoms to make subtle embellishments that draw your eye to the image. This stamp by Sandra Hammer is called "Hannah with Butterflies" and can be found at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More, as it belongs to her unique 2010 Pixie Cottage stamp line.

Dianne used buttons for the centers of the two "O's" in the word "color" in her layout and also on the small tag.

Corinna used buttons to draw a line across her page separating the different papers and as an added embellishment to a Prima flower.

Monday Button Projects

Kim used gold buttons to bring out the gold in her patterned paper. She also used a digi from this months sponsor Creations by Penny.

Joni used red buttons and added a rub-on heart to one of them to further the "heart" valentine theme of her layout.

Jayma's little notecard set uses buttons as the cherries. All 4 notecards go in the pouch on one side of the holder, and matching envelopes go in a pouch on the other side.

For this layout, Heidi used buttons to embellish to look like balloons and confetti.
