A weekend all about Glitz!

Glitz Design has been an awesome sponsor for us and we love getting to show off their products. All weekend long we will be featuring projects that feature some of their products. Their products can be found in stores around the country and online!

If you haven't heard of Glitz Design before - now is the time to get introduced! They won Best of Show last January at CHA and have been featured in Creating Keepsakes Magazine (Dec.09) for their "must have" line Plum Crazy.

Do you have a Glitz project you'd like to share? Post it here!

Then head over to their site and check out their brand new paper lines. Leave us a comment telling us your favorite of the newest three lines & we'll pick a winner to get some glitz bling!

Glitz Projects from Various Lines

Christine used the Detour line on her project. Her journaling was based on an idea she had seen in Simple Scrapbooks.

Amanda used Divalicious for the three cards above.

Debbie used the Audrey line for this garden layout.

Plum Crazy LIne

Full of striking purples, blacks, and whites this paper line can work for a cute or sophisticated look. I also want to mention that all the Glitz paper is cardstock - so it works fabulous for your base page as well!

Christine's layout uses Black & White fall pics. The Wonder title is also made by Glitz Design.

Amanda's Rock On Card

Erika used it for a winter layout.

Former guest designer Jamie used it with both a Black & White photo and color. It works great with that contrast!

A mini-album also created by Jamie. You can see the whole book on her blog.

This week's challenge is Patterned Paper

Our designers have used two patterned papers or more on their projects. We want you to use at least one! The deadline to enter is Saturday at 5:00 ET and the prize is a gift certificate to JuJu Bees.

This is the last week for our designers Sandi, Amy H, Joy, and Jill - we want to thank them for all the inspiration they have provided - they will be missed!

Simplicity - Patterned Paper Layouts

Angela let the patterned paper do the work in this layout. She just added her picture, text, and more patterned paper to back it.

Erika's patterned paper add just enough texture and attitude to emphasize the silliness of her subjects.

Friday's Patterned Paper Projects

Sarah's Doll layout used red pattern paper in the background. Then using the reverse side of the paper, she cut squares, and placed the squares in a mosaic behind the photo.

Crystal's patterned paper mini album is made from bill sized envelopes cut in half. The tags are 4.5 by 3.5. Check out her blog for more pictures and details.

Jessica's layout is all patterned paper (minus the title and the sub-titles) - even the animals and popped "buttons" were just trimmed from a regular piece of patterned paper.

Thursday's Patterned Paper Projects

Amy H points out that sometimes it's good to leave white space around lots of bold pattern for some "breathing room" on a layout.

Catherine went out of her comfort zone to match pattern papers. To make it easier she used multiple patterned papers from the same collection.

Jennifer traced patterned shapes out of the patterned paper to use as accents on the page. She used a border punch on the pattern paper as well as using pattern paper for her background.

Robin used 9 different patterned papers!

Wednesday's Patterned Paper Projects

Kerri's layout uses 4 different pattern papers all from DCWV 2009 Christmas stack.

Sherri's Love Bug layout uses a variety of bright pattern papers to frame her sweet picture.

Nadya made these flowers out of various pattern papers. She cut them into different circles, crumbled them up, sprinkled with some water and let them dry really well. She then chalked or inked the edges and added a brad in the middle and some stickles for sparkle.

Nadya's altered notebook uses pattern papers, stamps, ribbon, envelopes (inside) and some jewels.

Jamie's card features two different soft pattern papers, perfect for welcoming a little one.

Amy S uses Halloween pattern papers for her Too Cute to Spook layout as well as coordinating embellishments.

If you do send it to us at practicalscrappers@gmail.com and we will feature it this weekend!

Tuesday's Pattern Paper Projects

Christine's clean and simple layout uses a variety of pattern papers to create a fabulous background for her page.

Tanya's card uses her favorite colors and a kit that came with design paper, matching embellishments, and stickers - all of which she used on her pretty 'love you' card.

Dianne made this sign for her husband so she could stay informed. She used 5 different patterns of paper for this one.

Dianne's Yum layout uses 8 different squares of patterned paper!

Marjorie's layout uses pattern paper for the background as well as cutting elements from it such as the cherries by the top journaling and the stars.

Wanda created a Birthday card & box set with bright Hello Kitty birthday papers and an embossed Happy birthday.

Jill's pattern papers coordinate perfectly with their family reunion t-shirts
