This week's challenge is Christmas Cards

For the month of December we will be veering from our traditional challenges and focusing on Christmas. Every day between now and December 19th we will have a project idea featured for you. Those will be listed in the sidebar and available for you to click on so that you can easily reference projects from past days.

This week's challenge is Christmas cards and we will be featuring several designers each day with their Christmas cards.

The prize will be a set of Christmas supplies from The Robin's Nest - stay tuned to see projects featuring items from the set this week! It is incredible - you won't want to miss it! Deadline is 5:00 ET on Friday!

Post your Stitching Projects Here

Our challenge this week is stitching. Your project can be fake stitching (hand drawn or stamped) too! The deadline to enter is 5:00 ET on Friday. The grand prize this week is a kit like the one you see in Jill's layout from Kits and Giggles.

Guest Designer: Sandy W

Here's our second submission from Sandy. She did faux stitching on the heart, all mats are sewn with different stitches, the ribbon is sewn to the ornaments, the vintage image of Santa is sewn to 3 layers of green napkin....to give a quilted look.....and the lace and ribbon are sewn to layout. Isn't it fabulous? Thanks to Sandy for being our guest designer for these two week!

This week's challenge is Stitching

This week the challenge is to do stitching - it can be hand stitching, machine stitching, faux hand-drawn stitching, stamped on stitching; anything that LOOKS like you sewed onto your project. Hand stitching is one of my absolute favorite techniques! This the last week for Kristin and Brandilynn - we've loved having them on our team and will miss them!

Don't forget to enter our "Bling Friday" contest - the link to it is in the sidebar!
Kim used the Bazzill stitches floss to
stitch some flourishes stamped in Versa ink.

Dianne

Jennifer used handstitching along the bottom to make a border, handstiched the title "sassy", and created loops along the tops of the photos on the edges.

Robin first cut out fabric flowers using the Cricut and then stitched on the petals of the flowers. She used ribbon for the flower stems and zig-zagged stitched the stems to the LO. She used the ribbon again on the bottom left of the LO and used a straight stitch.

Jill used stitching on the photomats and on the patterned paper.

Jessica

Brandilynn

Erin hand stitched the patterned papers together using paper floss to mimic the
"strings" that the stars are hanging on.

Joy created her layout digitally

Julie stitched her borders

Joni started by adhering the photo and stitched the 2 large rectangles and then stitched the smaller rectangle around my son. Then I added paper in the "open" spaces between the stitching and photo and added other embellishments.

Sarah made her embellishments and then stitched them onto the layout.
